are usually made from clay material which tends to
                                                           be hard, corrosion-resistant and brittle.

                          SUMMARY
What is Glass and Its Uses?

Glass is a sold material that is hard and
               brittle (breaks easily when bent).

It is made by fusing sand with soda, lime,
and sometimes other ingredients and cooling
                            rapidly.

                                                           plastics
a synthetic material made from a wide range of
organic polymers, usually petroleum, that can be
                                                           molded into shapes.
